As the school year progresses, the Phantom Thieves start to suspect Kasumi may be keeping secrets from them. Her confidant link allows the protagonist to evade enemy ambushes and attack enemies from a distance with a grappling hook. The protagonist starts the Faith Confidant link with Kasumi automatically after May 30th. After her twin sister's sudden death, Kasumi faced a mental block that impeded her athletic ability. Backgroundīefore the events of the game, Kasumi was an extremely talented gymnast. After enrolling at Shujin Academy, Kasumi eventually joins the Phantom Thieves on their quest to change the hearts of evil adults. Kasumi Yoshizawa is a new character introduced in the Persona 5 enhanced re-release, Persona 5 Royal.
